MRIE retirement model

MRIE is a lightweight retirement-planning application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It projects household income from all sources against expenses over time using the COLA, inflation, tax, and rate-of-return assumptions you choose.

Save and compare multiple deliberate scenarios instead of relying on one forecast or a Monte Carlo probability range. Every projection creates a familiar, detailed multi-sheet Excel workbook.

CP-Finance

Clear Path Personal Finance Manager is an upcoming application for people who want capable financial management without the cost or complexity of traditional, legacy desktop personal-finance software.

The goal is a simpler, less-bloated, lower-cost application for accounts, transactions, imports, and investments, with stronger mobile support as a longer-term direction.

Planning philosophy

A useful model does not predict one future. It helps you understand how different assumptions and decisions change the result.

Private by designPersonal information stays local whenever practical, with limited and clearly explained online communication.
Transparent assumptionsImportant inputs remain visible so users can see what drives a result.
Flexible scenario comparisonTest realistic choices and household situations without pretending the software can make the decision for you.
Affordable alternativesOffer useful free tools where practical and keep paid products modestly priced.
